Dr. Sonya Bryan, a Mississippi native from Belmont, earned her degree from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. She practiced in Memphis, TN, and its surrounding area until 2000, where she owned a private practice and helped establish Fayette County Animal Rescue to assist sick, injured, and abandoned animals. This led her to open the North MS Pet Emergency Hospital in 2024, where she is an emergency and critical care veterinarian. Dr. Bryan is a passionate veterinarian with a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, managing critically ill patients, and providing extra care for senior pets facing age-related challenges.
A member of the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, Dr. Bryan is also an avid sports fan, an enthusiastic golfer, and enjoys tending to her goldfish pond. She treasures moments with her family, two dogs (Marley and Flip), seven cats, and two parrots (a Blue and Gold Macaw named Billy, and an African Grey named Way Cool).
